| Bite Productions Company rented for this weekend the Airport Disco, the biggest nightclub in Sihanoukville for running a dance festival "Wave", the first music festival in the city. Not only Khmer musicians but also some foreign artists were invited. |
The party became a remarkable event for the city. Many VIP Khmer families of Sihanoukville visited the opening. Most part of guests came with their relatives and multiple children. Entrance fee was $3, with one free drink included; this evening guests had choice between a can of Anchor beer and a mysterious energizing drink Samurai. Beer was probably destined for adults, Samurai – for little ones. Face control didn't apply any age restrictions to visitors. At late night the club was still filled with kids of any age. A special dance floor was set up at the beach side where children competed in modern bizarre dance. Ford was an official sponsor of the event. Four new beautiful Ford vehicles were promoted at the club's entrance. In accordance with Khmer traditions, the prices of products were not indicated at the point of sales; customers had to find a manager and to discuss all details. Cars are still not sold. |
